what is Amott's guitar tuned to?

Ok this may sound kind of supid but what is his guitar tuned to most of the time? i think its C F B flat E flat G C but i'm not sure. can some help me out.

Arch Enemy mostly tune to C standard but sometimes use 7 strings tuned to B. Depends on the song.

yup they play C standard now. first 3 albums are B standard (like soilwork)

I'll tell you, I used to mess withdrop d... then I said "well, maybe I can get a bit of a lower tone out of it if I go flat". The lowest I've played/known to tune to is D flat. I drop the low E to D flat, and make all the other strings flat.

I'm not sure if its my novice-ness or if it takes a whole new approach... all I can seem to get to sound decent is bar-power chords.

Pretty easy, just drop everything down 2 full steps. Up your string gauge a little bit for starters, I use jazz heavies for when I tune down to D standard, mainly for the low strings to be as tight as possible. If you don't mind the floppy strings you can keep the standard gauge though. You'll probably need a setup once you tune that low. You'll probably need to change your tone up a bit but, realistically, the feel / playing shouldn't be all that different from being tuned to standard.

C F B flat E flat G C is C standard. Definetly use a heavier gauge string. 12's are good for my KVX10 in C.

yeah i'm going to tune on of my guitars to C and use 13s! just to arch enemy stuff. i very exsitedi'm going to see them to day! after school. C tuning is (from low to high): C F Bb D# G C
