John Bush is an aweseome singer, too. And Dave Pritchard did die of Lukemia a very long time ago. RIP

[/ QUOTE ]

I should know their names better since they are one of my favorite bands.

Here's a Q since I've been seeing a lot of their videos - Anthrax with John Bush - Yea or Nay? I think I like them better with John, but the music seemed to be more like Armored Saint with him.

[/ QUOTE ]
I prefer Anthrax with John, also. I used to love Joey back in the day, even the first guy, Neil Turbin, but now I don't really care for Joey's voice any more.

[/ QUOTE ] dude. i totally love lillian axe. not too many people everknow about them. Ron is awesome. One of my favorite bands. sweet.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ron and Blaze made a great team. Stevie was underated as well. And he used to play Charvels all the time before switching recently to PRS. Ron quit Lillian and left the business from what I understand. Blaze loves the new guy Derek. Haven't heard him, so can't comment on that.

I had a conversation with the late Robbin Crosby many years ago about Blaze producing Lillian's LP. Had nothing but praise for the band. I'm from New Orleans and clearly remember Blaze playing his old trusty EVH Charvel back in the day. Mucho chops!

I could never truly answer this one, because a singer to me is such a big thing in a band and i can only get into a band if i get into the soinger. so i have many different favorites from many different styles of music that it would be unfair for me to try to pick favorites.

[/ QUOTE ]

Such a strong point. It's like me with death metal, or bands like the Haunted. The Haunted has COOL sounding hard riffs, but once the screaming comes on, I get tired. Better example, Opeth. I love them, but I hate the death metal vocals.

Has anyone mentioned that one singer from Iced Earth. I forget his name, but I think he's the cop now. That guy had great pipes!!

You mean Matt Barlow? I like him better than Owens, but I'll give Owens another album before I condemn him. For singers, my personal favorites are Dio and Ray Alder of Fates Warning.

I can't stop listnening to David Coverdale, he is just too good, the best low-midrange voice I've ever heard, it is sooo "balmy" and soulful yet bluesy and powerfull. And I love how emotionally he sings, he leaves his breathing sound on the records (a great example would be the middle section of Still Of The Night), his sexuality in his voice is real, not like some other dudes who sing about banging' chicks because it's cool.
