The clips are from The Passage to the Reaper DVD which came with Young Guitar magazine at 2002. I have that magazine [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

yeah, sometimes i think that alexi is a one trick pony. which is fine, like he does his fast, sweeping metal licks awesomely, so.

but i think roope is a much more well rounded guitarist. and i know roope wasn't the main feature in this vid, but they need to give him more credit. the guy flat out rocks.

Weird, my playing is more like Alexi's than I knew. He's better than I am, but that's kinda the direction that I'm going. (Alexi is the guy on the left, no? If not, that's who I'm talking about). He does more sweep picking than I do (perhaps that's because I do little to no sweep picking? LOL).

He sure has changed his style since Follow the Reaper. He's slowed down a bit and made more music from fewer notes. A good move I think.

this is a pretty old video. roope wasnt in the band then. i agree that roope is better than alexi, but alexi has really grown in the past 3-4 years, he's becoming better and better every year, its insane.

I have the full version of this vid and roope's guitar is drowned out so its hard to hear him unless you pan the L-R slider in windows more to the right, and crank up the volume some and you will hear roope alot better.

if they did another one of these types of jams today, alexi would be able to hang with roope very well.

I saw CoB December 28th and both Roope and Alexi played very good. First song was a little sloppy but the rest of the show was very good. This was the third time I saw them and they ruled every time.

You remember right [img]/images/graemlins/toast.gif[/img] Roope is about 9 years older than Alexi. But Roope will come older and slower every year so maybe Alexi can reach Roope.......during next 50 years [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
