Anybody here know how to get it? It has a very fluid violin type tone that is very fat. Its not doubled although its that fat. It sounds like there is a fair amount of reverb and delay at times.

I'll have to find the artcile I saw on his rig.. whcih CD/era are you talking about?
On edge of Insanity, he was using a Peavey Butcher amp, and I "think" a Roland SDE (was the 3000 around then) and/or a DEP 5 for a stereo chorus effect to fatten it up. I also believe at one point he was using an Alesis Quadraverb

I am talking about his early stuff. I though he was using Hughes and Kettner. He has a very processed tone at times. Similar at times to Vai, Satriani and Lynch. Clear, fat and really smooth. Sometimes you can hear his actual pick hitting the strings very clearly and other times you can't hear it at all.
