That's on 12 Waysted Years isn't it? From what I remember, it came about cos they weren't allowed to play live, and had very little time for set-up and take-down, so they decided to get the crew to start dismantling the gear while they were performing, and to swap instruments.....

I'm not sure why Adrian wasn't involved as well, but odd to note that he still reaches to check that his guitar volume is fully up [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Yeah, I think it is on 12 Wasted Years. I have it on VHS from way back. They said that since they weren't allowed to play live they'd just have fun with it and make it glaringly obvious to everyone watching that it was a joke.

You know, I've NEVER heard an adequate live performance of "Wasted Years" (probably my fave Maiden song by the way) that did justice to the studio version. But I love how Adrian keeps carrying on here... [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Ian, is that the "Wasted Years '99" also featured on Eddie's Archive? They always seem to play the tremolo picking part slowly, and then rush the verses and choruses. I HATE that. "Wasted Years" is NOT a prog song. The tempo changes RUIN it. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
