The rumor mill says something "snapped" in his wrist after several 14 hour practice days on classical guitar.

There are also rumors of possible surgery in Vito's future in order to repair the damage.

why hasnt he learnt to play left handed? My old instructer Dave kilmister killed his nerves in his fretting hand with a freak accident so he had to switch hands and start again! And he plays better than ever now--Vito RULED,every solo was memorable

Definitely one of my favorites. OK so he did not do a lot of arpeggio stuff or play at 30 beats per second. Certainly had the skills to do the arpeggios if he wanted to I think.

But man was he a super tasteful player. Thats what you want for a solo. Melodic amd memorable. Great tone. I could listen to him play all day long. He had one of the best styles of playing.

The man, is briliant on "radar love".
When it first hit the air waves back in the day, among the circle friends/players I was hanging with, were all critical of Vito. I thought he was a brilliant player and still do, and that nailed the eddie stuff and took it to the next level.
I still frequently listen to white lions version of radar love, Vito is brilliant on it.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

"Anyone who tries to fling crap my way better have a really good crap flinger."

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

And he could nail the EVH harmonic trick everytime!!!

              I love that trick.

I kind of strained my L hand recently moving a washing machine, and when I played it would hurt, like plantar facaitis of the palm, it felt like a tendon popping out and pulling painfully in my palm, had to lay off guitar for about a week total, it sucked.

                but it's all better now!
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
