Brad Paisley

My daughters got a couple CDs for Christmas, (we did it ealy cause of my work) and even though the majority of it is typical commercial country. There are a few totally killer tunes and this guy just f-in rips. I've always kinda wanted to learn a bit of that style. This guy is good. Anyone know if his older stuff is more guitar oriented/less commercial?

I was at my Dad's last weekend and he was watching a special on him on CMT. I was impressed too.

I was flipping channels & caught some of the show Tekky mentioned. A lot of it was the typical stuff like blindmuddy said, but he's damned good & really seems to care about his music more than the image. He had some sweeeeeet teles, too! [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] It's good to see someone with talent rise to the top & have mainstream success. That's how it used to work in rock, too.

The 1st time I caught wind of Brad was his 1st video. It had alot of amazing riffs! It had some singing in it, but the majority was just hot picking guitar. I wish I new the name of the song, but I was thoroughly impressed from the start. Keith is pretty good too.

I agree I took the girlfriend to see him live and was really impressed with his playing.

Brad Paisley is the same way.He was a big VH fan when growing up.He supposedly plays a jam/solo at his shows.He is big guitar nut , not just some country singer.

oh hell to-the yeah! i have their first album. fuckin' scary. but yeah, brad's pretty scary. i haven't seen much of keith but he likes to solo, and i like that. he seems a little more rock oriented than brad paisley is from what i've heard.

Keith Urban had a band called " The Ranch ". The first time I heard it,I started to cry and burn all my gear.The guy can play,just one of those guys that when you hear him,you say " Oh yeah,the real deal".....................
