I have Chastain's "Instrumental Variations" album on LP. I should break that one out again. His playing is top notch, but I wasn't that impressed with his writing. The great thing about him is that he incorporates the neoclassical stuff in the context of a fully rounded playing style, probably because he had already been doing fusion-type shredding long before Yngwie came out.

Yeah I was a Chastain guy for a while. Lost all the CD's./ Should try to get some again. I had instrumental variations and the one with the cover of Rock n roll. th lead in that ripped.

I really wish Leviathan would re-issue "Ruler of the Wasteland". I really liked that album and it was the first time I heard Dave play.

I'm waiting for the release of For Those Who Dare on CD... I thought that cassette killed! Within the Heat was also a very good instrumental cassette too!

I have it on CD. Probably the worst CD ever made. The cover of Barracuda is horrendous. Leather cant sing. The rest of the material is equally awful.

Does anyone know where to get "Mystery of Illusion" on CD? I have a few mp3s from that album, and had the record, but cannot seem to locate the CD.
