that things rules! is it neckthrough?

I believe it's a bolt-on. Somebody here owns one, but I can't remember who. It was either a Swedish or Finnish made model.

I know that Lloyd from Guitarxress.com ordered two custom shop Alexi RR's a couple years back. One was sold to a collector in Japan and the other sold here in the USA. So there were others built but they were custom shops.

Re: Was Alexi\'s jackson RR ever a production guita

Yep, those RR-LL's and RR-59's can be seen on sale sometimes in Finland. There is one 59 even on the wall of my local music store, but I think it is pretty damn expensive (about 1500 euros), though it's bolt on and doesn't even have an OFR. There is also an ESP-AK, an Alexander Kuoppala signature with camouflage.
Alexi used only custom shop Jacksons on the gigs. He bought his first custom RR from Stone's Jiri Jalkanen (that one with white pinstripes). But I have seen a (quite old) video where Alexi has about five or more RR's and I don't know if they all were from custom shop. One of them on the video has even a single coil in the neck position, one of them is plain black with golden bridge and humbucker frame and then there are those two famous ones with white pinstripes and yellow bevels, which are custom for sure. That one with the single coil has also yellow bevels. In another, many years newer, video he plays a black RR with black bridge also.
Hmm, a long and disordered text, but try to understand

i have to correct you, he played rr1 also for a short while while his guitars were stolen.

that rr with sc in the neck is roope's guitar, i guess he borrowed him guitar for that video
btw. that alexander's esp, is it his guitar or another one ordered from esp? how much does it cost?

cheers!

Re: Was Alexi\'s jackson RR ever a production guita

Ok, thanks for the correction Boris_RR. Actually Laiho didn't play that RR with the single coil in that video, it was just shown in it. When I look more closely, it seems it has scalloping on the highest frets also. So it is a custom too for sure. That one with the golden pickup ring might as well be one of Latvala's custom RR's.
That ESP-AK is a lot similar to the RR-LL, it seems to be serial-made, has a bolt-on neck (if I remember correctly), and costs about 1000-1500 euros, I think. It also has two humbuckers, while Kuoppala's actual ESP's have only one.

thanx for the info. pretty expensive though, alexi's new ltd will cost around 1k $ and that should be cooler guitar (same specs as his esp)

One Jackson RR-59 are for sale at 600 EUROS in Finland. The neck pickup doesn´t work and there are some light wearing but otherwise it should be ok and it´s quite cheap...

Here´s the link and there are the sellers e-mailaddress if someone is interested...

I prefer only neck-thru USA Jackson´s so this is not my type. I won´t bid against you gyus on this one

if you want one, why not get a jackson stars one?

I agree with you Boris. Everything is pretty expensive here For example, someone just bid a Charvel Model 3A for 499 euros. It's original price in the late eighties was about $600, I think.
