    anybody like Zebra?

    Zebra was so kickass. I guess they have a new cd out recently, I gotta check it out.

    I saw them a L'Amour in Brooklyn in the late 80's and they totally killed. did The Ocean and Kashmir as encores. Guy Gelso is a monster drummer, and Randy Jackson is a great songwriter.

    They were great,saw them live wondering who the hell they were,then went hunting for their album the next day..They reunited about 2 years ago,IIRC,but the one thing that sticks is the story about Randy's gear being stolen out of their hauler....
    Bon Jovi is like a frozen Coca Cola.. It's cool, it's crunchy, but when all is said and done it is still pop....

      I love Zebra and have seen them probably 25 times at various CYO school gyms in the New Orleans area. They actually played a gig at my old grammer school gym last year, great live band!!

          My old band AFTERSHOCK opened for Zebra for a full year all over the tri-state area in the early to mid 80's. We were a power trio. Randy was very cool. Their drummer became good friends with our drummer at the time. We used to hang out in the dressing room with Randy who.. btw.. was a monster of a player, singer and songwriter.

              They are the band that came up with the "Tonight you better STOP..." (and they actually stop) break in the Zep song The Immigrant Song. After they did it.. every band has been doing it since. Zebra did a ton of great Zep tunes mixed in with their most excellent originals. It was really fun opening for them several times a month.

                  Zebra was GREAT! "Who's behind the door", "Tell Me What You Want" Killer songs. I would love to hear their new stuff. I'll have to go out and look for that.

                    Also love Zebra! Saw them a long time ago, and their encore(s) was Zepplin. Great band studio and live.
