Some cool equipment, but man what a horrible job of mixing the levels on the audio feed.

i don't know for sure, but i'd be willing to bet the tweed fenders they were playing are those 57 tweed twin reissue amps.
GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

Re: super bowl stones.

The sound, as well as choice of songs was awful. I used to love the Stones back in the day, but do we really still need them playing at the Super Bowl?

I think I would rather have seen a younger band get a shot at something like this. That's just me though.

The Stones kicked the shit out of the game.

Dude Tommy, i know they are your heroes, but at one point i thought they were playing 2 different songs. Mick needs to learn how to pronounce "i tried", he sounded like tweetybird " I twied, and i twied and i twied........"

I thought the national anthem was a joke too.

Re: super bowl stones.

Right on Tommy, just not my cup of tea last night.Maybe it was the choice of songs? Always hated start me up, and satisfaction never sounds right to me, because the lyrics should be pussy action, not satisfaction.Atleast thats what they were in grade school.

I like how they sensored Mick with the "you make a dead man cum" on start me up,either the sound guy did it, or mick did it himself.

Seeing the Stones was the highlight of the game for me. I thought they did a great job.

(Still wish they would've hired the Motor City Madman to play though).

That band was never about technical proficiency.
They were about chicks, drugs, and all that good stuff.
I rest my case. I must return to work.

I love The Stones in general, but I thought yesterday their sound sucked and Keith was off, IMO. Jagger was quite energetic though, that surprised me.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
