• Tool?

can anyone suggest like two of the best Tool songs to check out? I'm seeing em at Coachella and have not yet heard them.
thanks.

I saw A Perfect Circle at Lollapalooza 2003 and was underwhelmed, I'm hoping what I hear of Tool being much better comes true on 4/30.

My 2 favourites are:

- schism
- sober

I'm not a huge fan though.

Re: Tool?

One of my favorite bands.

Too many to choose, but two of my favorites songs are 46+2 and Pushit and Eulogy and Hooker with a Penis and Third Eye and Jimmy and the rest of AEnema.

I'm just glad to hear that they're releasing an album in May. It's only been five years since Lateralus.

man I can't wait for the new album. Danny Carey is one of the most skilled and unique sounding drummers in the world, the only one who has done something fresh in metal music in years.

funny thing is, they are very unique and "out" compared to most of the mainstream music yet they are the most popular prog metal band after Queensryche. When Lateralus came out, MTV showed their videos 24/7

I want to buy a seven string just so that I can play some of the songs all the way though... friggen changing from standard E to B all over the place.

Adam Jones plays a Les Paul. Just a regular 6 string LP. Not a 7 string. Rather than buy a seven string, why don't you just tune to dropped D like he does.

Pushit (the end part, keenan's voice still gives me chills)

Actually, just listen to the entire cd. Brilliant!!!!!!

Is everyone really that in-love with tool? I find them very boring to listen to, unless you just listen to the drumming. Danny is probally one of the best rock drummers out there right now (scratch probally, he is one of the best) but the guitar, bass and vocals just seem to draaag.

Then again, I like riffing over anything else
