The first one is pretty good. Doesn't sound like his usual repetitive pieced-together riff samples. Nice to hear a little lead playing. That second one is just horrible, & is a great example of why I haven't listened to him much since he fired the band.

I guess RZ feels it's now time for solos...Well calculated as always...Overrated (Heavy) artist of the decade. Good thing He is close to the O$bournes.

Death metal starts to gather steam late in the 80’s - early 90’s…White Zombie comes on the scene with their watered down pop version of Death Metal.

Industrial music gains ground mid 90’s with NIN leading the genre and RZ dumps his WZ band mates and starts a trendy industrial solo project.

Now it’s cool to shred again thanks to the relentless, hard working never bending to trendy commercial opportunity BS ARTISTS like Nevermore, Arch Enemy and the like…

Oh…he can’t direct or write a movie to save his life either…Great effects and one sexxxy wife but…That’s really all I can give the guy. Good horror prop maker and great taste in women.

personally, i couldn't give a rat's ass if any of the tunes have guitar solos in them; i like the song as a whole. but that's how i roll, yo.

The Devils Rejects was cool as hell. House of 1000 Corpses wasn't good by any means, but TDR rocked!!

Dave, I respect your opinion but you gotta know some things.

White Zombie has nothing to do with death metal.
They were influenced of industrial artists when they started. They didn't followed NIN's trend, industrial elements were their roots from the beginning. They are definetly incfluenced by artists such as Ministry and other industrial pioneers who started in the 80's.

Rob disbanded WZ in late 90's when industrial had been big for many many years.

Rob never wanted to make super technical music or something like that. His music is to express horror movies and shit or something when you drive 300mph and gonna crash etc. Rob speaks different language. He uses industrial sounds because in his opinion those sounds describe better some weird shit he feels. But he really could write SONGS unlike Arch Enemy etc. who are only about riffs and solos but never capable of writing some popular tunes.
Yes solos are back but it isn't because of the bands you mentioned, (most of the people AND big bands don't even know who they are) it has a lot more to do what the record company guys say but then again Rob is one of the few who can do what ever he wants no matter what the record company guys say.
