All of the tracks you are refering to have Matthias Jabbs on lead guitar..He played Gibby Explorers and a Strat modified to a single hum and Floyd until Gibby made his Explorer 90 with a single hum and Floyd..Blackout is another great Scorps album, and World Wide Live really covers the scope of their hayday.
Bon Jovi is like a frozen Coca Cola.. It's cool, it's crunchy, but when all is said and done it is still pop....

Hurricane is on Love at First Sting. The Scorps rock - I've always been a fan of Jabs lead work. The dude is a very melodic player.

the scoprs are great!!! one of my favorite bands of all time.

hurricane is on "love at first sting" - it came out in 84 i think. good record!!

for something REALLY interesting and different get "lonesome crow"...i LOVE that record. it has michael schenker on lead and his guitar amp sounds like it is about to EXPLODE or melt down as he's playing. it's cool too because it seems VERY psychadelic and trippy compared to their later and more familiar work.

the early roth albums, epsecially "fly to the rainbow" are pretty psychadelic too, but they are VERY clearly the insipartion for euro-metal. the whammy abuse on "speedy's coming" is wicked for 1974!! i am still blown away but what uli roth was doing in the mid-70's...the melodic content od his solos like in "this is my song" sound VERY contemporary, but the song is 32 years old!!!

jabs has been with the scorps since 1979. micael schenker came back and played a couple of leads on "lovedrive" but jabs came in a replaced him around when the tour began - i think. bvut jabs is on "lovedrive" and was a full member by "animal magnetism". those two records are a must, as is "taken by force" and "tokyo tapes" which are the last 2 roth albums.
GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

Do yourself a favor and forget about anything after Virgin Killers. As for Jabs, he may nail his solos in the studio, but he's "poo" live.

Jabs joined in 1978 and has been in the band ever since. Hurricane was on "Love at First Sting" from 1984. Jabs' signature Gibson was a white Explorer with three black stripes on the upper back and one on the lower back. He designed a variant for Gibson, called an Explorer 90 as it's like 90% of the mass of a regular model. Looks a bit slimmed down, thinner lower horn etc. He has also had a Fender strat signature model made, the "Jabocaster" (two singles and a hum, funky inlays - looks like the planet Saturn).

In Trance (with Roth) is great.

I also love the Jabs era. Lovedrive is killer.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

The Scorpions are one of my all time favorite bands. Roth was absolutely amazing and a definite precursor to the neo classical shredding of the 80's. Jabs is one of the most underrated guitarists of the 80's...he was extremely melodic and had chops to spare. I remember Greg Howe saying he couldn't figure some of the runs Jabs did on LAFS.
As for hs live playing, I've seen them 4 times and he always was spot on...moreso than anyone else I can think of. I don't quite get the earlier quote:
