I read somewhere that during the sweeping part, he hits a pedal triggering a pre recorded track, to give the appearance that he is sweeping with his teeth when in reality hes just faking it.

you can play arps without using the pick-he might be string skipping one handed or even playing arps by just rolling the left hand-hitting a floor pedal might be harder than just doing what i said
