I don't remember them doing a blues version of that song. How the end is was how I recalled it. That was cool tho...I never did see Lizzy with Moore..just Gorham/Robertson.
I LOVE Thin Lizzy!
I prefer the Gorham/Roberson era, (Gary was a little too over the top/look at me! for Lizzy) but that was still a killer vid.
and with a broken string?..
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.
This was for Gary's solo album Back on the Street Again that why Cozy Powell on drums & Don Airey on keys. The reverb sounds like a Fender reverb tank. He's doing his Peter Green thing on the first part of the song.
You know when I think of Thin Lizzy, I think of Whiskey in the Jar and The Boys are Back in Town. I don't even think I have ever heard Gary Moore with Lizzy...I saw that Cold Sweat video with Sykes though. I need to investigate them more for sure. Phil Lynott was cool...what a tragedy.
That reverb is probably a Fender external. Very lush. Moore's tone is so superior to the other's dude's it is a joke. He sounds huge, and the other guy sounds like he is playing through a Peavey with an 8 inch speaker.
How long has Gary owned Peter Green's '59?
Mike
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.
