Re: Japanese Chick Doing Paganini 24th Caprice
I hate YouTube - no way to download the videos - the source code isn't "ad-free-friendly" either - normally they show the filename but YT is set up to refer to the videos by codenames only, not filenames I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

[ QUOTE ]
Incredible and FWIW pretty sure that name is Chinese or Korean.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually it looks like it is either Japanese or Chinese.
I don't know what the first two characters together mean (perhaps the name of the girl, which I can't figure out...)
but the last two characters form the Japanese word "ensou" which means musical performance.. They are technically Chinese characters so it could very well be chinese as well... however most modern Chinese is written in a simplified form (except in Hong Kong and Taiwanese Chinese) and would likely look different from that... based on that, I would actually place a bet on it being Japanese.
Not that it matters What matters is that the girl's playing is phenomenal. That takes practice for sure.

Wow, watching that makes me feel like a fucking idiot. I'm in awe of people that have that kind of dedication and focus.
Aside from the required technical skills to pull it off, just memorizing the damn thing would take massive commitment!

Re: Japanese Chick Doing Paganini 24th Caprice
i saw that a long time ago and me start playing a little bit more classical stuff...not just death metal....but i'm still not very good at it.
I find these kind of videos very good for your motivation. they make you practice guitar a bit more!
P.S.:
and for the guy that was complaining for not being able to download the video...you can find it on eMule (or probably some other P2P sharing programs). just search for her name under videos. you should find this and one other song.

That is amazing! Asian people have that kind of discipline and dedication we don't have, like all those martial arts guys
they dedicate their life for one purpose and train day and night
Someday, I will be able to play that piece, you'll see

Re: Japanese Chick Doing Paganini 24th Caprice
Amazing control and mastery of the acoustic guitar. Of course she should buy an electric (Jackson) and study the true classics, Unleashed in the East, British Steel, etc. She would do well on the acoustic version of Diamonds and Rust. Note the ability on the upper frets where there is no lower cutaway like on some acoustic guitars. I think I just quit playing for a while.
That was amazing.
