Re: Ozzfest 2006

I'm soooo burnt out on these Ozzfest tours anymore.
Who really cares anymore? I don't.
Its time to stop the whole Ozzfest circus.
Its nothing like it use to be.
In the last several years its been nothing but garage bands getting signed. Its really bad the whole thing blows chunks, really sucks big time. Its time to quit.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Dude that was fucked up up there!

I'd only see Unearth, BTBAM, and SYL. I love BTBAM and SYL, and Unearth puts on an a-fucking-mazing show.

I really like SYL, Gene Hoglan is a drum god..they would be the one I would want to see most..and Lucuna Coil..that's it..

They'll prolly tour on their own with bands that I would like.. I'll catch 'em then.

COB will be here on the 23rd or so..I'll prolly see that.

They kick ass!!! Devon Townsend is awesome! How can you not like a guy who sang for Steve Vai and plays a pretty mean guitar himself?!? And Gene Hoglan is a killer drummer!

I dunno, I think that band sounds very noisy to me. Weenie shrenker music ya know. His solo efforts are definetly better. That being said, I didn't really dig his singing on the Vai's Sex & Religion, it had a killer line up, Terry Bozzio on drums etc. but I never enjoyed his voice that much, it's decent but Steve is definetly a better singer, Steve's voice on the Fire Garden blows Devin away.

Wow, there really isn't much there that I'm interested in seeing, at least of those bands that I've heard of.

As far as the lack of big names--System of a Down is a headlining-caliber act and sells a lot more albums than either Priest or Maiden these days. That said, every SOAD live performance I've seen or heard a clip of (mostly on TV) left me underwhelmed.

I actually really enjoy Steve's voice on Fire Garden, but I still think Devin is a better, just my opinion.
