i talked to Roope tonight, and he told me that ESP is coming out with a newer Roope model. I couldnt really understand what it was when he was describing it to me, but maybe It will be a rhoads shape?

Roopes Jacksons are all from around 87-90. The Fender buyout had nothing to do with Roope's guitar preferences. He hadn't been getting new guitars for 15 years anyway - at least anything he would have used publicly. He went to ESP because of Musamaailma just like every Finnish band did who were their customers. It's not like ESP all of a sudden blew them all away with its quality just at the same time Musamaailma lost their Jackson dealer contract. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] ESP was pretty much the only company that they could have gone to - who else would promote metal guitarists and make them copies of Jackson shapes? Gibson? Fender? PRS? [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I've owned enough CS Jacksons to know that while there are certain similarities to guitars from same time periods they are all still pretty much one-offs and individuals and you can get a good one from any year including 2006.

I wonder if the Roope guitar will get released in america? It will probably end up looking like that crap alexi laiho one if it is a rhoads look alike.
