Van Halen's arrival on the scene annoyed me as much as Pearl Jam/Nirvana annoyed 80's rockers at that time. I guess I'm stuck more in the 70's, but I've been listening a little to the 80's stuff because of JCF. Hell, I even watched Headbangers Ball or Metal Mania, whatever that show is on VH1 the other night. That, for me, was unheard of at one time.
