If Randy was over rated then by definition everybody else just plain sucks! He was awesome, period! Not only does his stuff sound great over two decades later but he also inspired so many to either pick up the guitar or if they already were playing, to strive for playing on an even higher level. I don't think he was over rated at all.

He wasn't alive long enough to be over-rated. Tell me... how long was Randy with Ozzy before he died? Did you know what his asperations were?
It's hard to make a generalization that he was overrrated. That's like only listening to the FIRST Black Sabbath album and saying Ozzy is overrated. Remember, Ozzy was with Black Sabbath MUCH longer at that point than Randy had been playing in metal bands.
