The new Lullacry is pretty good..been listening to that..
The last Tristiana is VERY cool...sounds heavier very Therion-ish
The new Lacuna Coil sounds like Evanvesence...ewwwww...fuck that...way too "Nu" for my taste..and I really liked LC!!

Silent force???..that's a whole new ballgame...I have all the Silent Force stuff..those guys never fail to deliver the goods...class act power metal..!!
Not good with song titles..I never was..I used put tghe CD on a nd listen to them several times..until they take root..I have to look at the cdc cover for all the titles..I know songs my "riffs..not titles...I'm weird like that..
I was never into lyrics and titles..sometime that doesn't compliment the music ..the other day I was reading the lyrics to an old Soilwork song I always loved..soon as I read the lyrics I thought it was stupid...sometimes..not knowing the lyrics is a "GOOD" thing ..especially when you really like the song..

Dinky ..I have SO much still in wrappers for almost a year..I aquire anywhere from 20-30 new metal cds a month...so this stuff always starts to bleed together into a blur...
The last Silent force I bought was ummmm"worlds apart"..I need to put that on again...but I haven't got to other things I haven't opened yet.
sometimes..I have to take a hiatus from here just to "catch up" with my metal.
What's sick is this...I buy MORE metal before I opened my last batch of metal..now that's just sick...but I'm obsessed..I always NEED my new Metal fix!!
I have nothing else better to spend my money on...it's my only "crutch"...could be worse...like being a crack addict, or spending it on beer or titty bars!

omg.. +1 on what GoR said.. I've seen them live too many times.
I actually walked away a couple times, because Sharon was singing so much out of key that it would bring tears to my eyes. However, the last time I saw them the vocals good. Maybe she got lessons or something..
Anyway, if you want a decent band like this from the Netherlands check out Epica! Great music, great singing, beautiful vocalist.. and great guys in the band."I hate these filthy neutrals! With enemies, you know where they stand. But with neutrals... who knows? It sickens me!"Comment

Well.... I have been listening to many bands with female singers lately like Nightwish, Leave's eyes,After Forever, Lacuna Coil and yes Epica too but I seem to dig Within Temptation the best.
I love the songs and the singer's voice while most others sound like Opera or very cheesy chick voice.
I also don't like bands like Lacuna Coil where dude signs with female singer.. they almost sound like hiphop..

I disagree. The new LC is much gothier and cooler than anything Evanescence could ever dream of doing. Definitely on the pop side of things, though.Originally posted by horns666

I initially said the same about the new LC CD. It has grown on me somewhat with repeated listenings but still, there is a touch of "gnu" about it.
