Wang center is where Aerosmith did Dream on for MTV with an orchestra live ...
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

I think it's pretty fuckin' decent. It sounds a bit more mainstram ("radio friendly) than past efforts....to my ears anyway. I always listen to Danny Carey first before I "absorb" the song in full anyway. He's right on the money here as usual...didn't let me down!

      I dig it though!

Oh fuck guys, wait 'til you hear the rest of this CD. It's not exactly groundbreaking (for Tool anyway), but it's not like anything you will hear on the radio that's for sure. There are some damn good songs on it. My favourite so far is The Pot. Awesome stuff. I'll be buying my tickets for the Toronto show tomorrow. Woohoo, can't wait.

          +1
Heard the album and I wasn't so impressed.
I loved the last CD so much but the new one just doesn't do for me.
I only liked the first 2 songs... well.. Adam Jones rules no matter what!

Upon further listening, it occurs to me that Tool need to get back to writing songs rather than musical interludes. The only 2 tracks on the album that really qualify as songs are Vicarious, and The Pot. The whole album is great, but probably only for avid Tool fans and recreational drug users. When I think that it took 5 years to make this, it is rather disappointing. Lateralus, Aenima, and Undertow were so damn great, and this one does not hit the mark. I guess we will have to wait another 5 years.

              question for everyone:

How the FUCK can anyone rate a Tool album when the person has only listened to it a couple of times not 2 months straight?

I can't imagine myself listening to it 2months straight or will shoot my head.
Pass me more weed. Maybe it will help.
The last 2CDs, I listened to them 1 year straight after they came out but this new one, no idea.

You'll understand when you hear it.

I bought Undertow when it came out... I don't even think I've listened to it 5 times. It's collecting dust somewhere in my cd collection.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to dig it out, dust it off and give it another listen.

No, it's a cd. I've got a bunch of cassettes in bags in my closet, though.
