That Dano neck and the other that he enlarged the headstock found their way onto many of Ed's guitars.

In this shot it is on his Star. It also found its way onto this Explorer copy that was later chopped into the snake. It has resided on Frankie at one point, as has the modded Dano neck. The modded Dano neck finally ended up on the Fair Warning axe.

Ed loved Danos. He had a bunch in the early years cause they were cheap and had nice straight necks. Apparently, it was the craze back then to put Dano necks on other bodies. Most of them also had Brazilian Rosewood fingerboards and I can tell you firsthand that the Brazilian Rosewood has an amazing sound. Really tonal and sweet. I have alot of Dano necks on my guitars and they all play and sound great!

Scott, which Dano necks did you use for your replicas? Did you have to do any heel modifications to make them work? Which necks do you look for to bolt on without work?
