I just picked up this guy's CD, "NeoClassical Guitar". If you are a neo-classical shred-head, you'll be interested to hear this guy. Anyways, I was surfing youtube.com after seeing all of the links in this forum and I found one of Matt playing unaccompanied and thought I'd share it. Here it is: Matthew Mills

Yeah dude, that guy plays on that sick George Bellas/Tom Hess/Marc Ferigno level.

He's a former student of Joe Stump and Joe plays on one track from Matthew's debut disc. So that would explain part of the insane arpeggios.

There were a few nice melodic bits in there, and it is obvious he has clean technique, but I can only listen to this type of playing for a few minutes.

Shredding is a good thing, but you know what they say about too much of anything...

I prefer Macalpine, Paul Gilbert, and Yngwie myself... the old school guys. The newer shred dudes overdo it in my opinion.

Well, that clip was pretty boring... but I´m fairly certain he can do much better and seem more interesting with actual premeditated stuff, as I believe most of these guys can. All these new chops-intensive players should quit recording videoclips with random licks, because they will in many cases be judged by those half-assed clips instead of their songs.
