  • "Arsenal of Megadeth" DVD

Got this today and wanted to give a mini-review of it. I guess this is the right forum for this?

It's got a bunch of their music videos on it, and some cool behind-the-scenes kind of stuff. And some nice glassy-eyed old interviews with the band in (most of) it's incarnations. Don't let me ruin "Mission Megadeth" for ya if you didn't see it on MTV back in the day... but they don't find Hangar 18 out in the desert.

What cracks me up about it is, Dave Mustaine - Mr. Anti-censorship's career-spanning DVD release is censored. Even the word "bitch" BWAHAHA. It's a bit irritating too... kinda like the time I made the mistake of buying a White Zombie album at Wal-Mart (NOT marked edited). "Yeah, the mother____er!" grr

It's cheap tho, and is like three hours long on two DVDs. Worth it just to not have to drag out my worn-out VHS tapes of '91-ish Headbanger's Ball. Did I mention all the friggin' awesome Jacksons in it? Just ignore the ESPs at the end of the 2nd DVD.

    Here's the chapter list:

I looked all over the dvd case for an "edited" sticker after realizing there were words and lyrics ommitted... oh well, it's still a good one.

Does this have the Marty Friedman tryout footage on it?

Yes it does, but it is hidden. You have to hit enter on your remote when the date 1990 is on the screen.

Sweet, thanks for that! Marty is playing his good ol' V220 he used in one of the hot licks videos.

Just picked this up today. Pretty cool. But no mention or footage of Al Pitrelli or Jimmy DeGrasso and The World Needs A Hero album? That album was better than both Risk and The System Has Failed. Also, why no mention of the Killing Is My Business album?

Our good Christian Dave is still pissed at "the boyz." With those two gents, Megadeth was a solid lineup. Did Dave ever consider that his writing and his attitude were the problem?

That's because Capitol doesn't have the rights to the Santuary stuff.
