Chris is great..he came a long way since he first joined JP..

Like I said, the band wasn't crazy about him at first..they really missed Joey..he had some big shoes to fill..but he eventually filled them...big time!

I saw Nevermore last year on Gigantour and they were definately one of the best bands there! Loomis was just a monster as was Steve!

I didn't know that Steve was sick, what's wrong with him?

          Ummm..OK..
The video linked at the top of the guitar "dual"

It was more like who can play arpeggios faster, I didn't like those solos at all.

I like his composed music way better than that stuff

Oh yeah..that video was horrible..they completely suck...just tasteless nonsense wanking..

pull my other leg and it plays Jingle Bells..

You see, whenever I "dis" anything...I make CERTAIN I can back it up..otherwise I look like an asshole..

Well I am an asshole..but I don't like looking like one..

                  well I look like one..

but you know what I mean..

Newsfalsh...that WAS a wankfest...that was the purpose..it was a "fun" trade off between two great players..and nothing more..

Now I want to see the two players here that thought THAT was boring..do their own trade off..

                    I'm waiting..

Yeah, I was at the show where the "dual" video was filmed. Great show, it was surreal to see Loomis live, and...I know you guys are going to hate me, but his Krank fucking kicked ass. I met a lot of the bandmembers after the show, and finally met Loomis outside later that night. He's such a humble guy, very nice to talk to, he told us about his ideas for his new sig Schecter that should come out in July!

                      Cheers,
                      Nick

Edit: Oh yeah, and about the "dual"...on their setlist, they wrote "Chris and Jeff Jack Off"...to defend them just having fun, it isn't really an attempt to compose a beautiful piece on stage in seconds.

nah....it was just the fact that i was heading over to the good ole JCF, checking out new posts, and first thing that i see is misanthrope being the latest one to post in the artist/gear section, and to top it off IIRC the last time this was the case it was also a nevermore/loomis thread....
                            besides, i'm pissed :ROTF:

anyway, yngwie-deja vu is a GREAT song the solo, man, the solo.....

Given that I'll take back my boring statement and say it's pretty damn impressive. Really fast and clean

As for the challenge Bill, I'll see what I can do. Sure I'm not as good at shredding as them, but I don't think I'm that much worse given I started playing 2 years ago. Maybe I can borrow a camera with video over the weekend.

Well, it was some sick ass playing, I will say that for sure.

I didn't find it boring at all, I thought it was captivating, myself.

Of course, that Loomis is no Eddie Van Halen.

                                Mike
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.
