I bought a two DVD set of Alcatrazz concerts. Disc 1 is with Yngwie, and Disc 2 is with Vai.
My wife walked into the room while I was playing Disc 1, and asked me how old the footage was. I told her,
"This concert was filmed 22 years ago", to which she replied,
"Yeah, I figured it was old... Yngwie is so young and skinny!"
In Disc 2, Vai plays a Fender Strat, a Charvel H-S-H strat (sunburst finish, which I believe evolved into the Green Meanie later on), a Sitar, a mini-guitar, and a yellow Jackson Soloist.
Some of the same songs are on both Disc 1 and Disc 2 (Kree Nakoorie, Since You've Been Gone, Hiroshima Mon Amour, etc.). It was interesting to watch and hear how Vai rearranged the solos for these songs to his own style.
