reading threrads like this makes me glad i am on the jackson roster...lol...do i get free guitars?...not that i know of...i never asked...don't even know if i get a discount...will ask pertinent questions when i have money to buy another guitar...lol...fact is tho...it's kinda weird to see how many people will defend their choice of guitars...just because i like jackson better doesnt mena i think esp's suck...i have owned quite a few thru the years...if you can name it odds are i have probably owned it...guitars are a matter of personal preference...i don't fault anyone if they like esp, bc rich, or even yamahas...it's all about what's good for the individual player...i just settled on charvel jackson some 15 years ago and decided they were what i was comfy on...it has nothing to do with headstock shapes, logos or anything else...it has to do with the feel, sound and look of the overall instruments...and what may be right for me wont necessarily be right for everyone...just as what is right for alexi, dave mustaine, zakk wylde, vai, etc...wont be right for everyone...in other words...find the instrument you love...and drop the bashing of the other brands cause there is always someone else out there who will pick that other brand and bash what you love...respect for people and their choices is a good thing...peace...d.m.

Shit, Yngwie and Lynch played Aria Pro II's in their days...I have played Fenders and Gibbys that sucked ass...and $200 Agiles that kicked ass.

Well, no...but plenty of good players have played them and currently play them...I mean, Lynch is a monster, Vito Bratta as well....Izzy from GNR favored them...not to mention the fact that ESP made the components for Kramer, who everyone must have played at some point back in the day.

Mike my post is all SARCASIM. But thank you for history lesson on ESP’s and a short laundry list of people who’ve played…err been paid play them.

Btw.. I like ESP’s, then make some sweet guitars and they make some crappy guitars, just like Jackson, Fender, Gibson etc.

The System Has Failed is a great album, plus, you never mentioned anything about how Metallica used ESP's to record Master of Puppets and And Justice for All, also, you seemed to have forgotten how Megadeth also record Cryptic Writings and Risk with Jacksons. Now did those Jacksons make those records suck? Well by your theory, yes.

I've played ESP's, PRS's, Jacksons, Fenders, Ibanez, Parkers, you name it. I've got something I like from every brand.

Love Rickenbackers/Fenders, Gretsch's, G&L's and some Gibsons! But as far as metal type guitars! I never played an ESP I liked, and have gone either way with B.C.'s! I've never played a Jackson I hated, and have fallen in love with most of them! It's not because they we're free, endorsed by somebody that can shred, or they way they look, although they look badass! I just love Jacksons cuz for one they are well made, feel good, sound good, and look good doing it! As far as what everyone else's preferrences! Who gives a fuck! Which reminds me that "Justice," is Metallica's best work in my opinion! And I'll say it again! Fuck ESP!! If I find one I like someday, then I'll change my mind!
