The story goes that he had a major black eye (fell down the night before or something) and since they were set to shoot the video, he decided to do the "CHiPs" look. Great song.
The entire concert is from the Turbo tour and is on the Electric Eye DVD. Highly recommeded DVD. :headbang:

I admit Halfords voice isn't exactly what it was, but he is over 50. Some of the "Greats" (Robert Plant, Geoff Tate) couldn't pull off what they do in the studio live when they were in thier 20's.
