I suggested mute in the deleted post above, but then i saw it sits behind the nut - so i don't think it mutes the strings. Stops unwanted noise, yeah.

Yeah, especially with reverse headstocks, the longer low string seems to ring out a little with unwanted overtones behind the nut. I use a little piece of foam like that on my Carvin.

From a playability viewpoint, why anybody would want a reverse headstock on a non-trem 7 string is beyond me. That extra string length behind the nut just adds to the flop factor on the low strings.
