COB really suck now, but I'll get the DVD just for the extra videos and documentaries.

why are so many giving CoB shit these days? Their two latest albums are their greatest IMHO! Both production and songwriting hasn't been better...especially the latest one, which I really like.

It's become "cool" to hate on COB ... just check out the ultimatemetal forums to see all the whiny teenagers.

Anyone know if the interviews are going to be in English?

Because most people who like the old neoclassical style (and got into them because of the old albums) don't like the new style.

                I'm one of them.

However I agree that at least the production on the newer albums is better.

Its a shame they are getting the backlash of kids now thinking they are uncool simply because they are more popular now than ever.
I still think they are a great band. I prefer the first 3 albums and the last two arnt as good but they still arnt bad albums... AYDY is still one of this years better releases

You couldn't say that better. I'm one of them too. Alexi even said in interviews that he doesn't like that neoclassical stuff as much as he did in the old days. That sad, cause COB will turn into another "US metalcore" band that way .

I'm one of those too.. I do enjoy the later albums too, but not nearly as much as the old ones. The biggest negative thing about CoB these days is the terrible crowd at the concerts.. nothing compared to a couple of years ago.

well then that's probably because they're probably all the same people who sit at home slagging the band on the internet

                          something more about extras:

In addition to the full gig, there will be the following bonus material:

-"Behind The Scenes" (making of the DVD) produced by Patric Ullaeus for Revolver Film Company AB

                          -Promotional videos
                          *Deadnight Warrior
                          *Downfall
                          *Everytime I Die
                          *Sixpounder
                          *Trashed, Lost & Strungout
                          *In Your Face
*Are You Dead Yet? (original version and alternative version)

                          -Interviews & other extras
                          *2 interview/documentary-films about the band's past, present & future,
directed by Ykä Järvinen for Indiefilms Oy
                          *Photogallery

The running time of the concert will be about 100 minutes and the instrumental-solos of Alexi, Janne, Jaska and Roope will be featured as well. The documentary of the band's history sounds very promising and will definitely be very extensive. The "alternative version" of the "Are You Dead Yet" video sounds very interesting since it is unreleased so far. Unfortuantely the whole video clip collection won't be complete since the video of "Needled 24/7" isn't featured (The band was never satisfied with it). It is assumed that the whole gig will be mixed in 5.1. So we can look forward to a kick ass DVD in October!

CoB still kicks ass. Any real fan knows that CoB is all about rockin out, partying, and having a few drinks with your friends. They can't do that tired neoclassical shit every-fucking-day. Anyone that thinks their first few albums were more "original" than the shit they are putting out now are idiots. How many fucking bands do we need that play that shit? CoB is making a name for themselves, and whether you think they "suck" or not, they are exploding all over the world like an aural orgasm!

you know, there's more bands playing the shit that cob plays now, than metal bands with neo-classical elements mixed with good dose of melodic death/black.Atleast they were original back then.
