The ones with the pretty frontmen not only looked gay, they played gay music. Grim Reaper might have been ugly, but they were real metal.

Are you gonna tell me they didn't look gay? Jesus, nick, pointing aimlessly at some imaginary person(s), during every repeat of the words "See you in Hell, my friend" was a very gay moment. The singer OOZED gay! hehe.

Okay, they're not AS gay! And Nick is pointing to some friends/fans, telling them he'll see them in hell. :ROTF:

I remember a few years back there was a guitar exhibition here in London, and an evening jam night at the Astoria theatre. The stage was fairly cramped, and there wasn't much time to set up between artists, who got to do about 10 minutes each.

Whilst most of the performers were shuffling blues players, Grim Reaper hit the stage with attitude. This would have been ok, except during their opening song "Rock You To Hell" the singer pointed to the air, took a couple of quick steps backward, tripped over a flying lead, and ended flat on his back just in front of the drumkit, with his hand still pointing.

It was a true Spinal Tap moment.

I figured he was telling the lighting guy he's see him in Hell!

By the way, what's up with the bass player, in that vid. He looks like a memeber of The Doobie Brothers, and walks like Frankenstein's monster! ALL HAIL, THUMPENSTEIN!!!! He must be where Harry Shearer got his idea for the handlebar mustache, in Spinal Tap!

Naaah, that was apparently influenced by Steve Dawson, ex bass player from my All-Time No 1 Favourite band, in the world, ever, the mighty SAXON!!!!

Could be worse, Grim Reaper could be singing "See You in Hull" - now that would be terrifying, it's a bona-fide shithouse.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

                        I nearly broke her back

                          SAXON!

Ugh! Congrats, you just mentioned a cheesier band than Grim Reaper! I hope you are satisfied, now!

Aw man, this is a great thread. Big thanks Ron for the clips!

Grimmett looked like the lunch lady in my high school. Man, the Jackyl God had his ass handed to him in that last vid. People wonder why we loved the 80's so much.

The singer sounds a little like Ronnie James Dio, but...holy flying mullets batman! :ROTF:
