    What?

Metallica set the fucking standard of 'that kind' of hard rock, that is on The Black Album, like they set the standard of 'that kind' of metal with their first 4, but especially the latter 3 of those.

You are obviously one who lives in ignorance and has hopped on the bashingbandwagon.

ZZ top and AC/DC rock in their own right and are bands worthy of worship but your argument is pure BULLSHIT! Oh man I'm actually resenting you know for being trapped into wanted to bash so hard that you start spewing that kind of crap.

Rock based on basic blues turnarounds and rock with the same chordprogessions and same chords, tout court, over and over and over again....How is that more original (dare I say 'better'? (Since it's subjective)) than Hard Rock combining all of those elements + metal riffs + melodies (of all instruments including vocals)+ harmonies (of all instruments including vocals) + acoustic stuff + tonal bliss and pure sonic superiority + whatever else and a shitload of other musical belletrie?

Metallica's Black album set the standard for ZZTop - AC/DC style rock? :ROTF:

No, what I am saying is the styles can't even be compared. Hence the ' '' ' signs over 'that kind' of rock.

I wilfully split the two/three types of rock. So basically, in direct contradiction to what you assumed.

Your words, right? I made no assumption. I just reacted to what you stated.

            Then you must be illiterate.

That is clearly a distinction to the other kinds (like ZZ, ACDC,...), ESPECIALLY if you keep in mind the description of added elements I gave just a couple of lines below that. In other words, those types of rock are completely, completely different, to me. So the initial comparison about originality etc was bullshit, while the one about 'sell-outs' by Endrik was valid, because that was about a common element: commerciality (sp?).

I have no problem with anyone or anything in here, btw, it's all good for me.

That's the main thing I find too...but I guess it's nothing but normal, people grow up, the entire 'fuck the world' attitude kind of gets behind when people have a family.
