Chris Duarte's Texas Sugar Strat Magic in particular is excellent. I used to see him all the time when I lived in Austin. Cool guy too.... Definitely not traditional blues, his stuff is more in the SRV style, but he still makes it his own.

Well I went to the used CD place on my lunch yesterday. They didn't really have anything I was looking for but I did pick up an Alligator records anthology - Crucial Guitar Blues. I've listened to it once through and it's got some good stuff, here's the track list:
          1) Luther Allison, All The King's Horses
          2) Michael Burks, Heartless
          3) Coco Montoya, Same Old Thing
          4) Albert Collins, Lights Are On But Nobody's Home
          5) Little Charlie & the Nightcats, Percolatin'
          6) Tinsley Ellis, To The Devil For A Dime
          7) Roy Buchanan, Country Boogie
          8) Son Seals, I Can't Hear Nothing But The Blues
          9) Dave Hole, Phone Line
          10) Lonnie Mack with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Double Whammy
          11) Johnny Winter, I Smell Trouble
          12) Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Pressure Cooker
          Unleash the fury.....Texas style!

                  Melvin Taylor

                  Roy Buchanan

                  Robben Ford

Old Toy Caldwell (Marshall Tucker) Every Day I Have The Blues Live

That's a whole side of a live album, great for different tempo's and patterns.
