I liked BFMV but, live they suck !...
Anyway the songs are really well made..they are NOT emo but metalcore...
I like HIM too..

Where did you see them?? I saw them at the Tweeter center in NJ. They rocked. They actually got my attention and alot of live bands sound like ass and suck. They came out and killed it.

I've been a fan of Bullet for aaaaagggeeeesssssss and their Jackson endorsed guitarist Matt Tuck (The other is endorsed with ESP) said in an interview that Jackson were going to make him a signature Bullet series. I haven't heard anymore on this but i do know he has a lovely new custom Rhoads.

I like some of their songs but there are so many better bands out there. I saw them live in Graspop and they were one of the worst bands I saw on the bill as far as live musicianship went. The guitar sound was shocking and their drummer was fairly bad too. This was really highlighted when put up against the other bands who played for those 3 days and slayed. BFMV really unimpressed me live.
There is actually an online petition to get them off this years Wacken Bill.!!!!!

What other bands out today are better? I'm intrested in a list of bands to check out man. I'm way old school growing up in the 80's and Bullet caught my attention due to the way the put there songs together. They sing cookie monster but not all the time which I can deal with. I'm not a fan of cookie monster singing. I can handle it when it's added in like they do. Again I would be intrested in some bands to check out Bro.

uhhh... Down (much more southern/stonery than metal, but has people from Pantera, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar and Eyehategod).. they're working on a new album.
Corrosion of Conformity... their older stuffs a fuse of punk, metal, and southern... new stuff is good too.

Start with Nevermore.

Off the top of my head I'd agree with most of the bands mentioned there,Nevermore,Dream Theatre,Iced Earth etc.
I'd also say to check out Children of Bodom,Blind Guardian,Symphony X and Opeth. Scar Symmetry you might like too. Complex songs and not heavy vocals all the time like.
I know there's more I just can't think of them now.
