John Sykes Crushing Solo

I just recently saw Sykes with Thin Lizzy. He was more occupied in throwing kisses at a women in the crowd than playing the Lizzy solos with a passion. I like Sykes but give me a fuckin' break man, you couldn't wait to get off the stage and get hold of that woman

now that's a REAL rockstar, the world is lacking guys like him. It's all about the women.
I personally would have jumped off the stage and banged those chicks in front of the crowd, but that's just me.


BTW. I have many bootlegs of John, many Whitesnake, Lizzy and Blue Murder stuff.
The best solo he did for Crying In The Rain was in RIO. I have the full concert on cd. I want to cut out the song with the solo and post it but I can't because I don't have video editing programs.
It's truly amazing solo, better than the others wich are floating around the net.

If anyone has a video editing software and can post some vids, then PM me, I can make you a copy of that concert and send it to you.



Also, unlike most of the 80's guys John is making new music and I mean NEW

His last two albums were very modern.

John Sykes is a BADASS. Is it him who's playing on "Don't Turn Away" on the 1987 album? That's one of my fav solos of all time..

I love Mr Sykes' work on Thin Lizzy's Thunder and Lightning too. Excellent playing.. He plays fast with taste Love his vibrato too..

Well, you and Sykes are free to bang away, but the problem here is, I didn't pay money to watch the man having eye-sex with a woman and getting all sloppy on the solos while doing so.

The ever cool Scott Gorham was dedicated to the job in hand that night as he always is, but he's not half the guitar player Sykes can be. Nothing can take away my respect for Sykes' playing in general, I was just a bit disappointed that night.
