  • Gigantour 2006 - wow

I have not paid any attention to Gigantour at all, as last years line up did zippo for me. Quality bands, but just no one that interested me. And I lost interest in megadeth ages ago. I was looking up Iron Maiden tickets for October and I noticed Gigantour in montreal so I checked it out: Opeth, Into Eternity, Lamb of God, Overkill??? Sweet. I nabbed tickets on the spot. Any one happen to have seen any set lists for the tour?

Also, anyone heard this Bullet for my Valentine band opening for Maiden?

there was a thread around here recently about BFMV. I haven't heard much of them, but from the couple of songs I've heard, they seem to be a pretty cool metalcore band with some nifty guitar work. Kinda like the Welsh version of Trivium. They've been getting good writeups in the British guitar mags for a while now. And the guys dig Jackson guitars.

        Gigantour's coming to Australia? meh

Would be cool to see Arch Enemy though. I probably wouldn't mind catching DM & co. again too.

We've still got Nevermore, Lamb of God (sold out, dammit!), BLS & Yngwie before the year is out. As well as Sebastian Bach, Dark Tranquility, Cannibal Corpse, Leaves Eyes & Atrocity, Avenged Sevenfold, Kreator, Fear Factory, Ministry, Danzig, if that's what floats your boat. Not a bad 6 months for music fans in Oz

Just found out - Black Majesty is supporting Nevermore in Melbourne & Sydney. Pretty cool for fans there. We don't get 'em up here though... :/ Lucky bastards in Sydney get NM twice too! At only $40 a ticket, I would've gone to both shows.

Fuck, I'm headed up to Montreal for that Maiden show too! Unfortunitly I have to choose between Gigantour and Maiden, as I can't be up there for that period of time without killing some pile of money.

I would of rather seen last years Gigantour alot more actually.

I've already got my Lamb of God, Yngwie, and BLS tickets. Not sure if I'll be going to Nevermore though. Add G3 to your list. This December apparently.

My tickets to the Vai, Satriani, Yngwie solo shows were all 75 ish. I'm guessing G3 will be a little over a hundred.

wish I'd acted earlier on the LOG tix, but I wonder how long a set they'd have opening for KSE on a bill with Unearth anyway.

I was shocked that Nevermore tix were less than $40. Got mine as soon as they went on sale
