I love Herman Li of Dragonforce..but please pleasepleae..somebody tell that dude to turn of his damn harmonizer..I want to hear his tone and playing more..he sounds like a chipmunk ..it's very cool for some tricks he does..but he uses it way too much IMO..

Herman Li, please..I beg you turn off that thing.

I bought Dragonforce first one in 2000, they got much better since..

Off the top of my head (not including instrumentals - see my favorite instrumentals thread):
Lynch - In My Dreams, Alone Again, Tooth and Nail, Into the Fire, Unchain the Night
VH - I'm the One, Eruption, Mean Streets (intro), Hot for Teacher, Poundcake
Rush - Limelight, Red Barchetta, Freewill, The Trees, Working Man
RR - Over the Mountain, Mr. Crowley, Crazy Train, Flying High Again
Yngwie - I'll See The Light Tonight, I am a Viking, Rising Force, Jet to Jet, Hot on your Heels (intro)
Zep - Stairway, Dazed and Confused, Rock and Roll
Hendrix - Manic Depression, Wind Cries Mary
SRV - Crossfire, Pride and Joy (both solos), Love Struck Baby, too many to list.
Actually, there are way too many from any of these guys to just pick a few but those are the ones that I thought of first.

I'm not just rippin' on Herman Li, I didn't like it when Paul Gilbert and Sheehan did that crap either...

Paul did in Racer X in his live solo and Billy used to do it in Talas and Mr Big in his solo..

Dudes, Turn off that damn thing!

Paul finally did..that stuff just masks his talent..or it could mask slop as Billy's case.

Bill do you have the G3 in Tokyo 2006 DVD?

Billy actually has a good tone on that one, but maybe Steve EQd the shit out of it after they mixed the DVD

btw. he actully does some very musical bass lines on K'M-Pee-Du-Wee

No I gotta get that..Billy has stellar moments..I think his best work ever was with Tony MacAlpine. I couldn't play those lines better..he's killed on that one.

                  He's a good player..but I like a piano-like bass tone..

                  It doesn't "hide mistakes"..

His tone on studio albums is pretty decent actually, but when I saw him last year with Steve, his tone was horrible, thin and over distorted. But his playing was clean even when he took Tony's guitar and shredded the shit out of it.

No, you could buy those things for like a buck all over the place at the time. All he did was put it by his bridge pup..like Ed did with the drill..

I had a few of them..I was playin' around learnin' "look in her eyes" when that came out..I love that song..I'm not even a huge Vince Neil fan..but damn that's a great cd with a killer solos..
