Heathen (thrash band from 80's SF Bay Area Scene) has some really good solos on Breaking the Silence and Victims of Deception albums

Testament on thier first two albums The Legacy and The New Order.

Trey Azagthoth from Morbid Angel has some nice errie solos.

Don't forget Chuck Schuldiner's solos from Death and Control Denied.

And Criss Olvia solos form Svatage's earlier albums before he died.

Steve Stevens told me to Fuck Off in Manny's, in 1988.

He is also about 4 foot 2, with the heels.

I need to hear that CD.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Randy Rhoads: Goodbye to romance, Crazy Train, Mr Crowley, DEE, Over The Mountain, diary of a madman, Tonight
Jake E. Lee: Bark at the moon, Centre Of Eternity, So Tired, Ultimate Sin
Vinnie Moore:As Time Slips By, Morning Star, April Sky
Adrian Smith and Dave Murray: The Trooper, Aces High, Two Minutes To Midnight, Number of the beast
Bon Jovi: Wanted Dead or Alive(basic, but I really like that lead)
Cinderella(Not sure which guy played it) Shake me, and Don't know what you've got 'til it's gone(nice mellow lead)

                            • Great thread here. So many great solos and many I forgot over the years.
Nice to see Tom Scholz of Boston mentioned, forgot about them yet I listened to them when I was younger. Lots of favorites however a few -

-Tipton & Downing - almost anything, the dueling solos on
Screaming for Vengeance, Victim of Changes, the intro to the Ripper & Between the Hammer and the Anvil.
-Randy - Paranoid - Live, on Ozzy's tribute cd to him.
-Jimi - always liked his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
-EVH - Eruption - I can still vividly remember hearing this as a kid for the first time and thinking how did he do that? Was that even a guitar he used?
-Alex Lifeson - Intro to Red Barchetta, Cold Fire.
-Angus - Thunderstruck intro, Whole lotta Rosie.
-Ian Crichton - CatWalk - EP, Heads or Tales cd, Saga.
-Metallica - Outlaw Torn, not sure if it was James or Kirk.

I am completely reminded of how much I hate (c)rap music and miss the halcyon days of metal. Maybe if there was just some solo guitar work I could get into it. Too many others I just can't think of at the moment. Great thread, I will have to dig through the music collection for some of the ones listed throughout. Thanks gang.
