ok i just added the 81/85 zw emgs to my setup now what do i need to get the zakk sound i do the drop c tuneing and drop d and 1/2 steap tuneing!

To me his tone is an Old Marshall half stack JCM 800 , w/ a Boss DS-1 in the front and a good wah..Celestions are fine..that's pretty much it...that's what he used for years.
He uses EVs now..my bud John like the Evs..all they are are old EVLs ..now their his sig that cost much more.
I bought two Ampeg Lee Jackson VL100 heads back in '91..he endorsed those at the time..one of mine started on fire ..that was kewl..
He also endorse Morely wahs at that time..I bought one..I like the Dunlap 535Q much better..he's got his own sig Wah..it's prolly in the 535 Q..in one of the 5 settings..I would think."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
