  • Jerry C... who?

    I was surfing around the all-famous YouTube the other day in search of a video I could astound my fellow JCF'ers with. Despite all my efforts to find a live, heavy band crunching it out with an awesome guitarist, I ultimately chose otherwise. I found a little kid, sitting on his bed in front of his computer TOTALLY RIPPING IT UP. He's great! I don't know if anyone else has ever heard of "Jerry C", but he truly is talented one way or another.

    Here are some links to a handful of his videos:
    "Sweeping From Heaven" --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTb5xx2xA8g
    "Rock On" --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdlovtN7gZw
    "Canon Rock" --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miXlws-OwME
    "No More Distance" --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8PYD07soOY
    "Wedding in the Dream" --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7sEiKnV_eo

    If someone finds any more, please add onto these

    I hope no one has already posted about him, but even so, he deserves another! Hehe

    Anyway, have fun
    -Paul

        he seems very fast and sure he's a good player, but I saw many players on youtube that can kick that boy's ass. I watched the video on the first link, sweeps sound not that great to me, but at least he's better than me too

            My friend had a Japanese teen living with him for a semester. The kid could rip anything metal or Hendrix. He smoked my ass with Nuno Bettencourt stuff. A dedicated tab reader and talented player.

            The downside was the kid couldn't play live. Not even songs he knew! He couldn't freeform jam, fit in the pocket with a band, or improvise to save his life. I'm sure experience will cure that but I was also shocked that he shyed away from further jam sessions or sit-ins. He was content with his guitar, pedals, amp, and small room.

              So what if his sweeping ain't the best.. That guy cares more about the melody than showing off. He plays from the heart that's all that matters.
              Playing guitar is not a sport and it seems Jerry C has realised that - thank god!
