Hey fellas, I was just listening to Bruce Dickinson's rock show @ BBC 6, and there was a very cool song on that I hadn't heard before...so off I went to the track listing..and it was Trivium's new single! The Crusade...a long instrumental...it is fucking awesome!!

I never got into ascendancy, thought it was hyped..well..this new song is the SHIT!!! amazing melodies, heavy riffs, and very cool shredding....a kind of classic maiden influence soaked with trash metal or something! fuck the metaphors, go listen to it and judge for yourselves...I dont think you'll be disappointed if you like metal.

makes me look very much forward to seeing them open for the Irons here in Norway in November

All the new stuff (especially Entrance) that I've heard from The Crusade has got me excited as a little school girl for this albums release

This material is so good it blows my mind.

Hopefully it will at the least quite the bashers down some.....

yeah new stuff is great...i liked Ascendancy but could never get into the live show, they mess up all the solos that i love and just go into 'lets SHRED SCALES' instead of playing it like the CD (apparantly it was the producer who played the solos on the cd).

New stuff kicks ass, apart from Detonation, which is like 2 weak songs made into one crap one :E

I've heard a lot of comments about them sucking live. I may see myself when they play here in a few weeks. I'm pretty sure they played all the solos on the cd except a couple. Jason Seucof produced it, and I know did a guest solo on one of the songs, as he also did on God Forbid's last album. The guy's got some chops.

I can't agree more. I still can't stand all of this metalcore/mallcore garbage, no matter how they do it, it's just as bad as that nu-metal crap.

I personally liked their last CD. I could have done without alot of the screaming type vocals but I thought the music kicked. I'm looking forward to the new CD because I'd heard that they stopped doing the screaming bit. Plus I loved the BGF King V that Corey played for a while That was one bad guitar!

Cool tune, I hate most of the newer screaming bands but I dig these guys. Guitar tone is nice also.

On their myspace site check out the gigs they have lined up, wow! How cool would that be to play all those sold out shows opening for Maiden!!! Lucky...

And yours is a pretty ignorant statement, nothing wrong with nu metal if it is the music you like. I listened to it back in the day, dont really anymore, but still all music has its place, if you dont like it, then dont listen to it, but dont bash it either, just makes you look ignorant.
