I think they both have there place, now i hear nu metal and i get Nostalgic, it was a new beginning in my life back then, so it brings back good memories.

I like some metalcore, depends on the group, most of the time i love the music but cant stand the singer, the screamer has to be good or it just doesnt do it for me. doesnt mean however that i think it sucks, just not for me.

[QUOTE=Now it is not garbage, just not your type of music, get it right! Just because you cant get into something dont bash it, just move on![/QUOTE]

I know its pretty ignorant, I went to the myspace and listened to thier newer songs. And they don't sound that bad, but it's still Trivium, which is not my taste for metal.

I actualy just have issues with anyone putting down any type of music, may not be your thing, but that doesnt mean it is garbage.

It takes talent to write any kind of song, whether it be pop, rock, metal, nu metal, rap etc.. Just depends on the listener on whether they like it or not.

I guess since i have such a love for music i have respect for all kinds, and that has always been point, even if i dont like something, that doesnt mean i am going to trash it, i am just not gonna listen to it.

I agree with everything you said with the exception of the rap statement. My last breath will be cursing rap.

Edit - After listening to the tunes on their myspace page, I am very impressed. His vocals had always turned me off, but this is much better. I am buying this one.

Trust me i am not a big rap fan myself, very rarley do i like a rap song, but still it takes talent to bust out a good rap, something alot of people cant do, and i give them credit for that.

I dont consider them singers, and i only consider them musicians if they actually play an instrument, but mostly i call rappers entertainers and some what of poets and they are usually good at what they do.

I've seen Trivium twice now and they have been mixed performances. The first time was after ascendency when MAtt Heafy was still doing the screaming vocals. They played very well and it was a great show. I saw them a few months later with the new vocal style. It was terrible. It might be ok on some of the new songs but he is also singing like Hetfield on their old songs.....Not pretty.
I'm interested in this new album.I reckon that they will get even bigger when this new stuff comes out.
What guitar players though. At that age to be playing that kind of stuff. Its crazy

Not bad, not convinced and not really excited, but not bad.

Main problem with Trivium is a total lack of their own identity and/or sound, i.o.w.: severe lack of originality.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.
