Iron Maiden's guitars

i just bought the rock in rio dvd and it rocks! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] but, as i was watching it, i noticed that they were playing fenders. now, i've been told that they were very custom shop (guitarded), but i just wanted to confirm with you guys to see if you knew what kind of pickups and all the other good stuff was. mutch appreciated!

I think that Dave Murray uses SD Hotrails, Janick uses SD lil '59s and Adrian uses Dimarzio super distortions but I may very well be completely wrong!

All I know is that Dave does indeed use Hotrails, as for the other guys I have no idea.

Dave uses the Hotrails in the single-coil slots on the ones that have three singles, but a couple have a full-size bridge humbucker. He used to use DiMarzio Distortions, but I'm not sure what he uses any more.

I´m pretty sure Dave used JB´s as well as Super Distortions back in the day.

imo it's a little cheesy to have a guitar that says 'Iron Maiden' on the headstock, but aside from that, I LOVE it.
