Nothing wrong with the new charvels.. I think there have been several runs that carry the same grace that the original line carried.. It doesn't mean that JCMI hasn't had their issues as of late but it wasn't any different back then either ..they made their share of dogs in the day .. purists won't admit that though ..

That was a cool one.. Everytime I see tha tpicture I think of Revelation Mother Earth from the Salt Lake City MTV special ..Jake standing on the stairs and the spot reflecting off the guard into the fog ..

Hmmmm Pat...maybe, just maybe do you possibly think that the REASON that I refuse to buy or use new FMIC products is because of the bullshit that has been going on??

It just seems to me, maybe it's my misperception, that due to you owning and purchasing more of the new Charvel's you feel the compelling need to defend them at every turn, and turn hostile to others who don't share your same viewpoint.

Like I said..I could give 2 fucks less about the new products..but, I'm not a hypocrite...I have owned one of the limited run Solars...a Retro-Bullseye Strathead, and earlier models such as the Shannon Soloist...they are all gone. I have however, kept my 3 old Dimas Charvel's in my collection..so...at least I have a leg to stand on there before you try to kick it out from under me.

As much as it pains me to write this, I swear I'd be estatic if FMIC would officially stop production of the new Charvel's...at least when it died the first time, it went out with grace and dignity....now it has become a blasphemous shadow of its former self. I will have no part in it.

Sam, I've said this repeatedly but for whatever reason it doesn't seem to sink in. So let me say it in a way that maybe you'll understand:

I couldn't give a flying fuck what you or anyone else thinks of my Charvels and Jacksons.

I buy them for my enjoyment alone, and post pics, etc. here and elsewhere to share with like-minded folks who might enjoy that. Just like I enjoy reading about their stuff, too.

But if you don't dig them - that's fine, too. I could care less. I have my preferences, you have yours. Doesn't make either of them "right". Because they're preferences.

Believe what you want to believe. If you want to continue to throw around baseless accusations - with little or no fact to back it up - I'm gonna call it bullshit.

And despite what you think, I'm not "hostile" to you or anyone else on this matter. Chuck and you are both good bros. Despite our disagreements, I will always think so. But you're also quite full of shit on these matters. So, if I have any "hostility" it's towards the point of view - not the person. I can make that distinction. Can you?

Is FMIC, JCMI, J/C whatever perfect? No, absolutely not. Are there issues right now? Yes, absolutely so. More than there should be, and I'm not happy about that. But do they still make a great product, and hit the mark 9 times out of 10? Yes. And hopefully that returns to being better still.
