  • Jake E lee, truly my fav

I am sorry, but out of all ozzy's guitarist's i think Jake was the best, great tone, great chops and great stage presence. The tone he has here it to die for in my opinion.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Thanks for the clip! I'm with you on the Jake thing - always my favorite Ozzy guitarist with Brad Gillis running a close second.

I remember seeing Ozzy with Brad, subbing after Randy's death. He was very good. That was kind of a weird show, though. Didn't feel right.

Its not a bad tone..he has much the same tone on Badlands.. has a good deal of low mids boosted in it.
I think Randy's early tone was rather unique..but Diary (ya.. it was a typo) was much better.
Jake did have great presence onstage tho.

Jake Lee is the guy who wrote shot in the dark, right? Great song.

Wasn't Randy lactose intolerant, though? :ROTF:

I love Jake and think he's a great player, but I think Randy was a cut above.

                    I think so, too.

That's from The Ultimate Ozzy VHS.Yes,Phil wrote Shot, and sued,so Ozzy can't play it live anymore. As for who was best,I think Ozzy had the right guitarist at the time he needed them.

I saw Oz on that tour, and his whole set was 65 minutes, encore and all.Rather disappointing...

I always get goosebumps when the 2nd solo starts...

A live performance of Mr. Crowley. Definately notOzzy's best performance because he a bit flat here and there. THere are however some awesome closeups of Ran...

Yes Randy was great, i did loved him too, he was the guitarist when i got into ozzy. Great licks and chops, and who knows how much further he could have gotten, he died just as the guitar revolution was starting. When he was alive there still wasnt as many choices in amps and guitars as you started getting in the mid 80's.

But when all is said and done Jake is still my fav, i just loved his style in the ozzy days and even on the first badlands album.
