Are you serious?!?!? Where is more info on this! That song is sooooo good. I was wondering why he didn't play it on my Live at Budokan DVD...

ahaa, Phil did the wright thing, Ozzy can taste his own shit now.

and yeah, Jake was the best player in Ozzys band

I love Jake, but Randy was the man.

Gary Moore was Ozzy's first choice ya know..but Gary refused to do his G-Force thing..he fucked up!

I always thought George Lynch would have been a good Ozzy player back in the day..it just seemed like that would have clicked.

Just like Yngwie and Dio..way too much ego for that to happen!!

Jake smoked when I saw him when Motley Crue opened for them..and at the US Festival..
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
            Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

Jake was the best, even though I love Randy and the two albums he did, Jake just ROCKS! The three Badlands discs never leave the car.

Randy over Jake....Some of his solo's still make the hair on my arm stand up...However, Jake is a great guitarist as well...Zakk Rocks too....Don't forget to mention Brad Gillis either..Another Great Guitarist..

Randy gets my vote based on those 2 clips of Mr Crowley.

Randy for me. I like Jake too, though - Bark at the Moon must be the cheesiest great song ever! Horrible tone in that though, that youtube clip is pretty sweet.

Jake wins. The guy just had more attitude to his playing then anyone. I could never really get into Captain Caveman. The only thing I got against jake is that he looks like Don Johnson....

I thought his tone was pretty good on that solo..i've always wondered what effect had had over the solo on that - it makes it soo cool, easily my fave ozzy solo ever, although i've always thought the jake e leee era albums are a bit tooo poppy for me, zakk on no rest for the wicked is my favest ozzy playing i thing, with ultimate sin / bark at the moon a close second

I agree with sonicsamurai to an extent here, the Jake albums are kinda poppy on the lyrics, Ozzy wasn't at his best there vocally either, it's obvious Randy's death broke his spirit. He kinda just sings through it but doesn't put any extraordinary effort into it.
That said, Jake's solo's are the reason I listen to The Utimate Sin album again and again. Total goosebumps, Zakk stole quite a bit from him to. The solo on Secret Loser has one of those moments where I think "Just how the hell did you do that?!"
"This ain't no Arsenio Hall show, destroy something!"

I dont think they were poppy, if anything most stuff he has done after those albums have become more poppy with the exception of no rest for the wicked. That album to me was out there, nothing like ozzy had done before and i dont think zakk had come into his own yet there. not a bad album, just way off of what we usually expected to hear from ozzy.

I love No Rest For the Wicked too, I always like listening to Zakk when he was young and had something to prove. Back then all he could play on was his talent. Ok, 'nuff said about that, still love the guy.
Only thing that's slightly annoying about that album (I have the reissue-CD with comments btw) is that the guy commenting the album (don't remember his name now) claims Bloodbath In Paradise is about the Vietnam war, when it's clearly about Charles Manson and his Helter Skelter madness.. D'oh!
