  • Rainbow Live in Munich 77

I had my wife order the DVD from Netflix. Totally worth checkin out, Blackmore's one of my all time favorites. It's funny cause in the interview section they talk about him being arrested for assault at the previous show, them trying to smuggle him out of the venue and barely making it to the show on time. Great show, and apparently this is before Dio borrowed the horns from grandma. He can't really seem to figure out what to do with his hands.

I've seen this too... Very cool show with Bob Daisley on bass. Blackmore plays great on this especially on "Greensleeves".

Sounds great! Oh, and the horns thing Dio does is a reaction to Ozzy's peace sign. So when he joined Sabbath the horns were introduced.

It's cool to see that Sabbath with Dio are about to tour again although it has to be under the name Heaven and Hell because of that twat Sharon.

Man, I love Rainbow. I was always a Blackmore fan. I still remember when I was 16, waiting for their first 'album' to come out. Man on a Silver Mountain, then Rainbow Rising. I gott'em right away. I'll have to look at that DVD.

I've been watching lots of Dio & Rainbow clips lately, & I don't think there's any better live vocalist. Just amazing, even on the very recent stuff!

Could be true, I saw Dio/Purple and the Scorps a couple years back and the singers, well, Dio sounded as good as he did 30 years ago, Gillan was pretty good but was missing the upper range he used to have and Klaus was pathetic, voice shot and basically just going thru the motions. Looking forward to the Sabbath reunion er uh Heaven and Hell
