Vader - Impressions in blood

The new Vader... well ... what to begin with

maybe the fact that i wasn't expecting much - after Litany they went straight downhill - "the art of war" was better but still wasn't "THAT" Vader we do remember from the times of De profundis , Black to the Blind - the stuff that ended with Litany.

I put this in my player about a week ago and in this very second after a kinda dimmu borgirish intro :

Songwriting is again AS good as on Litany - i think it's also AS good as this on Black to the Blind and De Profundis.

Better production all around (mesa dr ,mesa tr and randall warhead mk1 on this ).

I was really sceptical about this one and i'm really suprised now, apparently the half year break gave 'em time to relax a little and think about the songs more.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I love Vader. Best DM band around these days.
That said, I never liked Impressions all that much. The Beast was miles better. Peter is a real metal God, an under-rated band they have so many great songs, have done loads of amazing cover versions and their lyrics are often very interesting.
I'm glad they started to write more melodic solos though - Peter just doing harmonics was getting really old.

"Xeper" is the best death metal song ever written.
